WHO WE ARE
Our board was formed in September 2017 through God's will and Grace.
Ridge Haven founder, Yvette Stembridge was concerned about people living on pension and disability government grants as living expenses keep increasing. She witnessed this group of vulnerable people living on the streets and in shelters and decided to take action .
We found our home in 138 Peter Mokaba Ridge Road in less than a day and immediately knew that this is the right place to provide a home for those in need. In October 2017 we registered as a non-profit organisation.
We can accommodate up to 30 residents, which consists of men and women. We provide them with a safe haven, emotional and spiritual support and daily meals.
Ridge Haven is not funded by the government.
Ridge Haven is in Berea, Durban, South Africa.
Ridge Haven strives to be a beacon in our community and a recognised NPO that is leading in action, love and care by actively engaging with the elderly or those with minor disabilities (physical and mental) who find themselves homeless or living in shelters.
